Take

extreme sports mecca. Interlaken isn't just for hikers in the
summer. Numerous adventure sport outfitters offer a bevy of
activities, including paragliding, whitewater rafting, canyoning,
and mountain climbing. This area of Central Switzerland
features fast and furious rivers, narrow slot canyons, ice blue
lakes, and white capped mountains.
The nearby valley of Lauterbrunnen is a fantastic hiking and scenic
destination, with numerous waterfalls in this short steep walled
valley.
