The
Olympiapark, situated in Northern Munich, was built for the 1972
Summer Olympics and has remained a favorite park for walkers,
joggers, and swimmers.
A television tower, the Olympiaturm, is located on the park grounds
and is the highest reinforced concrete tower in Europe. The
tower has a viewing platform and revolving restaurant with fabulous
views the city and of the Alps to the south.
The park is open 24 hours a day. The Olympiaturn is open dialy
9am-12am. The Olympiastadion (Olympic Stadium) is open daily
