Giant's
Causeway is a spectacular formation of rocks on Northern Ireland's
Antrim Coast that is one of the natural wonders of the world.
The coastline here consists of an area of 40,000 interlocking basalt
columns, which formed as the result of an ancient volcanic eruption.
Most of the columns are hexagonal, although it is not uncommon to
find four, five, seven, and eight sided columns.
The beautiful Antrim Coast is also
home to other unique sights.
