Wasserauen - Ebenalp Cable Car |
Appenzell is a
year-round outdoor delight, and by far our favorite place to hike in
Switzerland; perhaps all of Europe.
Your destination on a map is just past the village of Appenzell
(marked in
RED
on the map) to
the cable car stop at Wasserauen (marked in
BLUE
on the map). There is a large parking lot
at the bottom where you can leave your stuff. Keep in mind
that on those beautiful summer days, this parking area will be
packed with cars, so arrive mid to early morning to avoid the rush.

Even if it is packed at the bottom, do not worry. There is
plenty of space up the valley and you will not at all feel like you
are in a crowd.
