            OLYMPIC VILLAGE (Villa Olmpica)
district was refurbished, much like the Old
Port district, in 1992 for the Summer Olympic Games. This
revitalization transformed what was an industrial neighborhood into
a modern waterfront area which hosts the largest concentration of
restaurants, pubs, and discos in all of Barcelona.
Each club in this area has a separate dance room and an open air pub
so you can choose between sitting and relaxing, and dancing.
Each club/pub is lined up in a row, one right after the other, and
each club features a different type of music to satisfy your tastes.
The best part is that none of these clubs have a cover charge, so
feel free to wander from one to the next in search of your favorite
songs. If the DJ turns on a song you don't like, simply move
on to the next club. The Olympic Village area truly is the
best place to enjoy Barcelona's nightlife and dance until the sun
            comes up!

Right next to the Olympic Village is the beach area, so those of you
looking to lay out on the sand, soak up the sun, and go for a quick
dip in the water, this is the place to go. Barcelona's main
beach, Platja de Bogatell, is fairly clean and very crowded on a hot
summer day. Vendors on the beach will rent out umbrellas and
            beach chairs.
