Paceville
is part of the tourist district which includes the neighboring town
of St. Julians. This is the district on the island of Malta,
just outside of Valletta, where most of the hotels, restaurants,
bars, and clubs are located. The nightlife is certainly the
liveliest here, since this is the largest concentration of tourists
in the country.
While the island country of Malta emphasizes its location in the
Mediterranean, if you're looking for a beautiful sandy beach you
won't find one here. The island coast is rocky and you will
not find the long sandy beaches common to most island paradises.
However, this does not mean you cannot enjoy the water, just watch
your step on the rocks!
Paceville and St. Julian's are close enough to Valetta that there
are several bus routes that you can take into the city. Buses
are extremely cheap, but be prepared for the crowd and for the heat.
There are many hotels and resorts to choose from in Paceville and
St. Julians. The most noteworth are the Hilton, which is a
local landmark because it is the tallest building in town, and the
Westin, which boasts its own casino and scuba diving school.
Wherever you stay in this district, the nightlife will be just steps
away. There are enough bars and clubs to satisfy your tastes,
and don't worry about the time, they're open all night long!
