(Franziskanerkirche) was Salzburg's main cathedral before the
construction of the Dom in 1628. The Franziskanerkirche was
built in the 15th Century and decorated in the Baroque style.
While it may not be as ornate or as large at the Dom, the
Franziskanerkirche has a certain old charm unto itself. It is
located just steps away from the Dom, so while you're in the area,
stop in for a look at the older of the two churches.
The Franziskanerkirche is open daily from 6:30amto7:30pm.
