Santa Maria Della Salute (Our Lady of Health and Salvation) is one of the highlights of Venetian architecture.  It's great dome sits at the entrance to the Grand Canal and is one of the city's most remarkable skyline features.  The church was built after a 1630 plague as a thanks to the Virgin Mary for saving the city.  The church houses fine sculptures and paintings.

The church is open daily from 9am-12pm and 3pm-6:30pm.  Phone number: 041 522 5558.
