DOD CIVILIAN EMPLOYEES
All incoming DOD Civilian Employees
should contact the local Civilian Personnel Advisory Center (CPAC) to
schedule an in-processing time. Civilian employees are also
encourage to attend a community orientation briefing held at the
Central Processing Facility. Civilian employees are also
eligible to attend the Central Processing Facility's German Head Start
class for German language and culture instruction.
All incoming US Military personnel arriving in Germany will report for
initial in-processing at their local Community Processing Facility.
Service members must report in duty uniform. IT is expected that
the sponsor will escort the service member to the Central Processing
Facility. Service members will check in with the CPF and be
scheduled to return within two business days to attend an initial
in-processing. Spouses are encouraged to attend this initial
briefing as a great deal of beneficial information will be provided.
Initial in-processing consists of:
- Community Orientation: A speaker from the Community Family
Support Center will provide an overview of the installations in your
local community, where various support services are located,
procedures for obtaining telephone, internet, and cable service,
locations of shopping areas, etc. An arrival packet will also be
provided at this time.
- Transportation Office: Who will tell you the status and
expected delivery date of your household goods shipment and explain
procedures for making claims for damaged items.
TIP: Be sure to bring
your orders and your medical, dental, and personnel records with you.
